It started with my four kids (and their sock battles...)
Like many parents, I have had my fair share of morning chaos. But the most surprising source of drama was socks.
We all know this cycle:
Buy cute socks → wash once → they shrink, lose shape, turn stiff → kids protest.
I tried every brand, from budget to premium, but my kids absolutely hated every single pair they owned. Socks were too stiff, too tight, too itchy, had bulky toe seams, and always shrank after the first wash.
Honestly, I understood them.
Socks should never make kids cry.
The Birth of Ojo
After a LOT of research, I found the solution: A mix of bamboo and thoughtful design details.
Around that time, I met my partner Roger. He shared my obsession with creating the perfect sock and my values around sustainability, fair production, and beautiful design.
Together, we brought Ojo to life.
We examined every detail carefully: the softness, the fit, the stretch, the seams, the colors, and the overall feel.
If it was not perfect for my own kids, we kept working until it was.
The Ojo Promise
Ojo socks are designed by parents, tested by kids, and made responsibly in Europe.
We personally tested our socks for eighteen months. Children wore them more than one hundred times, and we machine washed and tumble dried them just as often. Even after all of that, the socks kept:
- their perfect fit
- their softness
- their comfort
- their stretch
- their shape
- and their good looks
There was minimal shrinking, no stiffness, no holes. And the best part is that the kids still loved wearing them.
The Superpowers of Bamboo
Bamboo is not only soft. It is naturally thermoregulating, antibacterial, breathable, and incredibly durable. It keeps its shape and softness after every wash, which makes it a real game-changer for comfort.
Bamboo also has real sustainability advantages. It grows extremely fast, needs very little water, thrives without pesticides, and regenerates naturally after harvesting. This means it uses far fewer resources than cotton and other traditional fibres. By choosing bamboo, we can create socks that are kinder to the planet and gentler on your child’s skin.
